Kids and Teens:

The library has separate Children and YA sections.  There is a summer reading program for children through age 18.  Because of staff constraints, Walk-in Story times are available if the library is quiet and the librarian has time to read.  Children and Young Adults are encouraged to read and special requests for books or movies for the library or through the MORE system are usually granted.

There are also special programs for children throughout the year.  Check with the library for the next program that is scheduled.

Last year several young people helped with the summer reading program and they established a Teen Advisor Board.  These teens will be called on during the summer reading program to provide additional help with crafts or programs.  They will also advise the librarian on books/movies which are of interest to them.  If you are interested in being on the Teen Advisor Board or volunteering at the library, contact the librarian at 715-658-1269.
